Halloween cupcakes πŸ‘»

Halloween and whimsicality are synonymous, right? So whimsical cookery is quite natural at All Saints’ Eve. My girls and I went for quirky ghost cupcakes this year. Funny to make and a joy to devour.

Beat 2 eggs, 200 g brown sugar and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Gradually add 100 g melted butter, 180 g spelt flour mixed with 2 tsp baking powder and 200 ml milk. I added activated carbon to give the cupcakes a black color. Divide the batter into 12 lined cupcake molds and bake for 15 minutes at 180Β°C. Allow to cool completely.

Frost with 400 ml cream cheese mixed with 2 tbsp powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract and activated carbon (optional). Use hard, neon colored candies for the eyes and cover each ghost with an oval of white sugar paste with two eye-holes. Buuuuuu!
