LEGO is an abbreviation of the two Danish words “leg godt”, meaning “play well“. And that’s exactly what I did in my kitchen today. I filled a LEGO brick mold with a variety of tiramisu panna cotta and placed the bricks on Oreo crumbles – a.k.a. Oreo soil. My playground turned out to be the ultimate treat for coffee and chocolate lovers. You can take my word for it.
Panna cotta: Mix soy cream with agar agar (ratio: 500 ml liquid to 8 g agar agar) and sweetener of your choice (I used sugar and maple leaf syrup). Divide the mixture into four parts. Leave one part as is and add vanilla extract and different amounts of instant coffee to the three other parts. This way, you’ll get different shades of tiramisu panna cotta. Bring your different mixtures to a boil and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a LEGO brick silicon mold.
Chocolate sauce: Combine equal parts of hot soy cream and finely chopped dark chocolate. Taste with vanilla extract.
Oreo cream: Separate the cream from the cookies. Mix the cream with some soy milk for a softer consistency.
Assembly: Twirl sauce into a circle. Place Oreo cookie crumbles and cacao nibs on the sauce into the shape of an arc. Arrange your LEGO bricks in a playful way onto the arc. Decorate with Oreo cream, violet blossom and lemon balm leaves.
